Traversed by many, both before and after the apocalypse, the road was the term for any pathway that crossed through the no-mans-land that was the midwest.

Croatoan | | The Rocky Mountains seemed like Americas best hope for survival in the face of apocalypse. It's too bad no one ever made it to the mountains. In the height of the Nuclear exchange, the Star Wars nuclear protection system crashed, it happened so suddenly that no one had the chance to make it to the mountains. Once the home of elite bunkers, became a desolate natural wall between the eastern and western United States. This all changed when in 2200, the Imperium Santum emerged from a hidden bunker known only as Requiem. Now it is the site of major activity, and the stronghold of the holy empire.

While it is not one great wall, there are several strips of wall, stretching for dozens of miles at a time. This area is considered to be the buffer between the not so United States of America, and the Norther Wastes. No faction owns it, however there is one rule that applies. If you see a mutant in the area, shoot it, no questions asked.

Croatoan | | The Northern Wastes, once known as Canada, are completely devoid of pure blood activity. Being the home of a large concentration of mutants, it is considered as hostile territory to most. What was once a thriving nation is now little more than frost covered landscape, and one of the few places where nuclear winter remains. The once great cities have fallen to nuclear fire and years of decay. This is a land that is no longer fit for human life.
