Ashlands is a post apocalypse RP which occurs 200 years after a massive nuclear exchange destroyed most of the world. The exchange was a reactive measure to quell a pandemic that spread at explosive rates. The pandemic caused victims to lose sanity and become incredibly violent; it was originally created to strike countries, effectively destroying them while keeping their riches intact.

After the nuclear exchange the world became silent. No government or country went by unscathed, and the nuclear winter killed off what little remained of order.

100 years after the bombs fell, civilization began to reemerge in the shape of small camps and villages built by the descendants of the survivors of the apocalypse. While at first, things seemed to be going smoothly, an army of what appeared to be monsters, emerged and began to attack outposts, forcing people to clump together in order to defend themselves.

This time became known as the age of chaos. At the climax of this age, the organization known as the Sons of Washington was formed, hoping to create a unified front to defend the innocents of the wasteland.

Towards the end of the Age of Chaos, an advanced military force emerged from the Rocky Mountains. This force claimed to consist of individuals who were shielded from the apocalypse in a military bunker. The force dubbed themselves as the Imperium Sanctus, claiming to be warriors of God.

Together, the Sons of Washington and the Imperium Sanctus pushed the mutant forces up north until they reached an area which was still in Nuclear winter; this place was named the Ashlands. After a final battle, the mutant threat was declared to be extinct, and forces returned to their respective homes. So ended the age of Chaos.

Ten years later, the Imperium Sanctus undertook new leadership; their new leader was a religious extremist, and declared anyone who was not a resident of the bunker under the Rockies as 'Impure', this declaration was followed by hostile action against several facilities owned by the Sons of Washington, effectively declaring a war between them. This war has lasted over twenty years and shows no hint of slowing down.

Along with this war, there have been numerous sightings of mutant armies in the area that became known as the 'Barrier' which separated the Ashlands from the rest of the United States. This, combined with the increased bandit threats and emergence of Infected individuals who had contracted the virus that was previously a pandemic has left the world in a fragile state.

Why does this all matter? You, the writer, can choose which ever side you wish to support, whether it is the Pure Blood empire, or the Mutants. You will fight, seeking to claim these lands as your own, or you will die trying. As to who you will be? Well that is entirely up to you my friend.
